Senior .Net Developer (.NET, Node.js , Azure)

Job Title: Senior .Net Developer (.NET, Node.js , Azure)
Location:  REMOTE
Duration: 6 Months Contract

The ideal candidate has experience working in regulated, enterprise environments (such as healthcare), understands the importance of security, reliability, observability, and compliance, and can contribute at both a technical execution and solution design level.

Key Responsibilities
Application Development (Full Stack)
· Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) and Node.js.
· Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services.
· Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React.
· Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and Azure SQL.
· Perform query, API, and application-level performance optimization.
· Apply enterprise design patterns and write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

Cloud & Azure
· Design and deploy applications on Microsoft Azure.
· Work with Azure services such as:
o Azure App Services
o Azure Functions
o Azure SQL / Azure Storage
o Azure Key Vault
o Azure Service Bus
o Azure Data Factory
o Azure Blob Storage
· Support cloud scalability, reliability, security, and cost optimization.

CI/CD & DevOps
· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (or similar tools).
· Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
· Support release management and environment promotions.
· Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to improve deployment reliability.

Quality, Security & Collaboration
· Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
· Own the quality of your own work — write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) as an integral part of every deliverable.
· Design and build features to be test-automation-ready — testable architecture, automated coverage integrated into CI pipelines, not dependent on manual QA.
· Follow secure coding standards and application security best practices.
· Work closely with product managers, QA, and other engineers.
· Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications
· 10+ years of experience in full-stack application development.
· Strong hands-on experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
· Hands-on experience with Node.js for backend services.
· Strong experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL primary, Azure SQL), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
· Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
· Broad hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure — including compute, storage, integration, messaging, and data services.
· Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
· Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture, scalability, and performance optimization.
· Experience working in healthcare or other regulated enterprise environments.
· Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.
· Proven experience building high-availability, high-concurrency, mission-critical production systems.
· Hands-on experience designing and building event-driven architectures (message queues, event streaming, asynchronous processing).
· Strong experience with observability and production monitoring — Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or equivalent — for real-time system reliability.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
· Experience integrating with contact center / telephony platforms (Five9, Genesys, Twilio, or similar CCaaS) — strongly preferred.
· Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate delivery — a plus, not a requirement.
· Experience with microservices architecture at scale.
· Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud-native development.
· Familiarity with additional compliance and data protection standards (SOC2, HITRUST, etc.).
· Experience working in Agile / Scrum enterprise delivery models.
