Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid)

Project Overview:
Seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to manage statewide enterprise and agency-level IT initiatives within the Division of Technology Operations. The role will coordinate projects with the Department of Administration PMO, Information Security, Privacy Office, state agencies, and private-sector partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage IT projects from initiation through completion using established PM methodologies.
Track project schedules, deliverables, resources, budgets, and deadlines.
Coordinate with internal teams, state agencies, PMO, and external project managers.
Prepare regular status reports and management updates.
Manage project closeout, lessons learned, and documentation archiving.
Lead and influence stakeholders while effectively communicating complex projects.
Plan, organize, and prioritize activities to meet project goals.

Required Skills:

3+ years of Project Management experience; 5+ years preferred.
Strong knowledge of PMI/PMBOK project management principles and methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with financial planning and budgeting.
Strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project preferred.

Education & Certification:

Bachelor''s degree in Business, Public Administration, Information Technology, Liberal Arts, or related field.
PMI training or PMP certification required.
