Job Title: 2118 - Database Architect

Project Duration: 36 Months
Location: Lexington, MA (2-3 days in a week Hybrid)

Position Overview

The developer will actively advise and participate in the architecture and hands-on development of applications using Microsoft Power Platform.

Responsibilities

Actively advise and participate in the architecture and hands-on development of applications using Power Platform.
Lead all aspects of design and development of new applications, ensuring they are flexible and scalable.
Develop applications from the ground up utilizing:

Power Apps
Power Automate
PowerFx
Power BI
SharePoint
SQL databases
Object-oriented programming

Design, develop, and configure scalable web applications.
Create system documentation and enterprise-level Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for enterprise web development.
Collaborate with the team to translate user stories and requirements into functional code.
Identify critical dependencies and gaps, solve technical challenges, and implement new enhancements.
Support the deployment process, including post-deployment review of logs for errors.
Collaborate with team members to support estimation and requirements finalization efforts.
Define and develop methods for robust system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Work with and train staff on how to troubleshoot and build solutions.
Follow best practices for version control, CI/CD, and development management of the system.

Required Qualifications

Power Platform

5+ years of IT systems development experience, with a primary focus on the Microsoft solution stack and Cloud technologies.
5+ years of experience and in-depth understanding of the capabilities of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
3+ years of experience building solutions for the Power Platform.
2+ years of experience developing both Model-driven and Canvas Apps.
Knowledge of PowerFx with Power Apps.
Extensive hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
Strong applied knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform services, including an in-depth understanding of their capabilities, boundaries, and constraints.

Data & Business Intelligence

5 years of experience analyzing model and measurement data.
5 years of experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Domo, Tableau, Looker, SAP, or Power BI.
5 years of experience with conceptual, logical, and physical modeling, especially for rationalizing data objects.
5 years of data analysis experience.
5 years of experience with data architectures.
5 years of experience with databases and data engineering for Big Data.
Experience with data visualization and Business Intelligence tools within Power BI.

Software Development & Architecture

5 years of experience with design patterns, data structures, and functional programming principles.
Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Basic understanding of authentication, security, and application lifecycle management (ALM) practices for Microsoft Power Platform.
Experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions within a secured research environment, including working within mission-driven governance, cybersecurity, data-handling, and organizational constraints.
Architect-level experience across Microsoft Azure and AWS, including CI/CD, DevSecOps, application and integration architecture.
Product ownership experience translating business and mission requirements into technical roadmaps and delivered capabilities.

Cloud & Government Environment

3+ years of experience with Azure and AWS platforms.
2+ years of experience working with Government Cloud operating within FedRAMP guidelines.
FedRAMP experience is required.

AI / Machine Learning

2+ years of experience in AI application development, including generative AI, machine learning, and NLP.
Hands-on experience architecting and implementing production-oriented generative AI, intelligent automation, and low-code solutions.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into enterprise workflows, applications, and business processes.

SharePoint

2+ years of experience and knowledge of SharePoint Online features for collaboration and business process automation.
