Senior Business Analyst - With Public Sector

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with 8+ years of hands-on business analysis experience for a hybrid position in Austin, Texas. 

The primary in Austin will be at Hybrid, with the option to work up to 80% - 100% remotely.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience eliciting and translating business needs into clear, well-structured system requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, wireframes, and mockups, along with a proven ability to analyze and improve business processes and facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders. They should be highly organized and articulate, comfortable managing requirements and changing control in Jira and Modern Requirements, and capable of mentoring other BAs on best practices. .

Requirements:

Yrs    Experience

8       Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements

8       Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)

8       Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience

8       Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices

8       Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices

8       Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills

8       Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills

4       Documented work experience with the issue tracking software Atlassian Jira

2       Documented work experience with the requirements management software Modern Requirements

Preferred

Yrs    Experience

4       Documented experience working for or closely with TEA OR a federal/state/local education agency OR ed vendor

2       Experience supporting complaint and case management workflows, including intake, investigation, and resolution
