Summary

Project Description:
Data conversion and validation to support the Budget team during the migration of budgeting and commitment control data from PeopleSoft to Workday.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Perform record-by-record reconciliation, aggregate totals validation, and exception identification to ensure no data loss or corruption during the PeopleSoft-to-Workday migration.
Refine data crosswalks showing PeopleSoft field equivalents, data type conversions, formula translations, and Workday FDM integration points.
Identify data quality issues, unmapped fields, transformation failures, and process deviations between legacy and target systems.
Review and validate how PeopleSoft budget data integrates into Workday through the Financial Data Model (FDM), ensuring compliance with FDM schema requirements.
Document validation findings and remediation steps, including detailed validation reports, exception logs, root cause analysis, and recommended corrective actions.
Work closely with technical and functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data conversion and integration issues.
Support UAT and sign-off activities by collaborating with Budget team members and project stakeholders to validate reconciliation results and certify readiness for go-live.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Typical Software Used for Engagement:
MS Outlook, Teams, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Tumbleweed, VDI, Oracle Products, PeopleSoft, and Workday.

Required Experience:

84 months of experience developing and executing data extraction and transformation processes for Budget and Finance.
84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries, Application Engine, and SQR scripts for efficient data migration.
84 months of experience mapping PeopleSoft data fields to Workday equivalents and resolving data inconsistencies.
84 months of experience implementing ETL tools and validating data accuracy following data migration.
84 months of experience collaborating with functional teams and Workday consultants to support seamless system transition.
84 months of experience developing and maintaining clear and consistent documentation for data conversion processes, procedures, and validation activities.
84 months of experience working collaboratively with technical teams, including PeopleSoft, Workday, database administrators, and cybersecurity analysts, to ensure comprehensive identity management practices.
