Description: Senior Manager, SAP ERP Contact: If interested, email resume to David Kellogg, Judge Group Sr. Recruiter - Job Summary The Senior Applications Manager, SAP ERP is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness of the SAP ERP Applications team within Digital Transformation (DX). This role provides vision, enterprise architecture leadership, people management, and business partnership to ensure ERP systems effectively support organizational objectives. The position oversees application performance, enhancements, integrations, security, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives while leading a team of IT professionals in a global environment.
Essential Responsibilities - Lead the development, direction, and effectiveness of the ERP Applications team by providing managers and supervisors with the tools, guidance, and support necessary to manage daily operations.
- Coach and mentor team members, supporting both professional growth and performance development while fostering a culture aligned with company values and leadership principles.
- Ensure ERP applications perform effectively to meet business needs and DX standards through upgrades, enhancements, security improvements, validation activities, and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage the SAP ERP application portfolio, including both internally developed and third-party solutions.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders, leveraging the ERP platform to support strategic objectives.
- Review and approve application designs, integrations, custom developments, and technical solutions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and with a high level of quality by providing clear direction and adequate resources.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional and enterprise-wide teams, particularly for large-scale or complex initiatives.
- Establish and maintain operational policies, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance and support industry best practices.
- Participate in strategic planning and long-range technology initiatives that align with business and Digital Transformation goals.
- Own the development and execution of annual strategic plans and roadmaps within areas of responsibility.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive engagement and responsiveness to stakeholder needs.
- Evaluate changing business requirements and develop organizational and technology strategies to address evolving needs.
- Recommend operational improvements that enhance overall business effectiveness and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and business partners across the organization.
- Resolve issues effectively and develop solutions that strengthen stakeholder relationships and business outcomes.
- Translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions that address root business needs.
- Promote and support Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies to ensure structured and successful project delivery.
- Champion IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools to improve operational performance and service quality.
- Successfully execute annual business and technology initiatives as outlined in strategic plans and organizational objectives.
Minimum Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience - 12+ years of progressive Information Technology experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of IT leadership or management experience within a mid-sized to large enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting global organizations and international operations preferred.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Deep expertise with SAP ERP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA preferred.
- Strong background in ERP integrations, reporting solutions, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience working within regulated GxP environments preferred.

- Experience developing and maintaining effective IT governance, processes, and operational frameworks.
- Strong understanding of vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles relevant to ERP operations.
- Experience hiring, developing, motivating, and evaluating technical talent.
- Strong business planning and strategic execution capabilities.
- Proficiency with standard business software and productivity tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
