We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to help shape the future of enterprise data and analytics. In this role, you'll lead the design of scalable data architecture, enterprise data models, and modern analytics solutions that empower data-driven decision making across the organization.
You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Application Development, and Business teams to establish best-in-class data standards, drive analytics modernization initiatives, and build a roadmap for the next generation of cloud-based data platforms.

What You'll Do
Enterprise Data Architecture
Design and maintain enterprise-wide conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Define canonical business entities, enterprise data domains, and data architecture standards.
Develop scalable architecture frameworks that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
Create and maintain architecture documentation, reference models, and design standards.
Data Modeling & Analytics
Design enterprise data warehouses using dimensional modeling techniques.
Build and optimize Star Schema and Snowflake Schema models for analytical workloads.
Develop semantic data models and reusable reporting structures for BI platforms.
Evaluate existing warehouse architectures and recommend design improvements for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Data Integration & Engineering
Define enterprise ETL/ELT strategies and integration patterns.
Architect data flows across ERP systems, business applications, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.
Establish best practices for metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data governance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure consistent and scalable implementation patterns.
Cloud & Modernization Leadership
Provide architecture leadership for Azure-based analytics platforms.
Guide modernization efforts involving Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and broader Azure Data technologies.
Evaluate future-state analytics platforms and recommend strategic technology investments.
Lead architecture reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting requirements.
Work closely with DBAs, enterprise architects, BI developers, and data engineers to solve complex data challenges.
Mentor team members and promote architecture best practices across the organization.
Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to long-term data strategy planning.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
Deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
Strong experience designing enterprise data warehouses and analytics solutions.
Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema design.
Expert-level SQL Server and T-SQL skills.
Experience designing semantic models and supporting BI platforms such as Power BI.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, metadata management, and data governance.
Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and modern cloud data platforms.
Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Experience modernizing enterprise analytics platforms.
Knowledge of DAMA data management principles.
Experience supporting ERP platforms such as Ellucian Banner.
Microsoft Azure certifications.
