Our client, a leading Government Systems Integrator, is in need of a Junior Test Engineer for an initial 12 month contract. This is a hybrid schedule consisting of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote with candidates being located in either Gaithersburg, MD, Egg Township, NJ or Eagan, MN. The Junior Test Engineer will be supporting test planning, test case development and test execution, executing manual and automated test cases, records results and document defects in the issue tracking system and assisting in the development and maintanance of test scripts and automated test suites. They will also be responsible for supporting regression testing, smoke testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
Required Skills:
- 1 - 3 years of experience with software testing (internships and academic projects will be considered) and a bachelors degree.
- Experience with test automation architecture and frameworks to include, Selenium, Cypress, Robot Framework and / or Playwright.
- Experience with manual testing techniques to include boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning and / or exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools to include, Jira, TestRail and / or Zephyr.
- Basic understanding of test automation frameworks to include, Selenium, Cypress, Junit and / or pytest.
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and test data management.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is $30 - 43/ hr.
