Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Hybrid)
Role Overview
A senior-level Quality Engineer is sought to support enterprise platforms across APIs, microservices, and UI layers. This role is focused on test automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and API validation, with exposure to an AI-enhanced engineering pipeline. This position is for a hands-on, technical professional who can operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build automated API and UI tests using Java, Selenium, WebDriver, and TestNG.
- Perform service testing using Groovy with tools like JMeter, SoapUI, and ReadyAPI.
- Execute microservices and REST API validation using Swagger documentation.
- Develop SQL queries for database validation.
- Perform Kafka validation, including topics and consumers.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Maven, and Git/Stash.
- Enable parallel test execution with Selenium Grid.
- Create BDD test cases using Gherkin and Cucumber.
- Support and contribute to enterprise automation frameworks.
- Conduct performance testing of APIs using tools like JMeter and NoSQL databases.
- Execute messaging and IVR testing as required.
- Collaborate with US and offshore teams.
- Document test results, defects, and provide estimates.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience:- 5+ years in test automation development.
- 5+ years working with REST and JSON APIs.
- 4+ years with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Bamboo.
- 2+ years of messaging or IVR testing.
Technical Skills:- Strong coding ability in Java.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Rest Assured, and ReadyAPI.
- Experience with testing frameworks including JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Cucumber, and Postman.
- Hands-on ability in JavaScript and SQL.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, Maven, Git, and Bamboo.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases like Couchbase.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Proficiency with Groovy scripting for tools like JMeter and SoapUI.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud architecture.
- A strong understanding of concurrency, threading, and algorithms.
