Description
We are looking for a PC Technician to support hardware setup, troubleshooting, and device maintenance for end users in Merrillville, Indiana. This is a 2-3 week Contract position suited for someone with hands-on experience working with desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment, and structured cabling. The ideal candidate is comfortable servicing both Dell and Apple devices while helping maintain reliable workstation performance.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and deploy desktop and laptop hardware for new and existing users.
Diagnose and resolve issues involving computers, peripheral equipment, and related hardware components.
Perform cable routing, connection setup, and basic workstation wiring to support device installations.
Provide hands-on support for Dell systems and Apple devices, including setup, replacement, and troubleshooting.
Test equipment after installation or repair to confirm proper functionality and user readiness.
Maintain accurate records of hardware assignments, service activities, and completed support tasks.
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience in PC technician or desktop support work.
Practical knowledge of computer hardware, associated accessories, and common peripheral devices.
Experience with cable installation and physical workstation setup.
Familiarity with Dell Technologies equipment and Apple devices.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware problems efficiently and communicate solutions clearly.
Capable of handling multiple support requests
