Project Manager – Energy Efficiency Marketing & Programs

We are seeking a Project Manager – Energy Efficiency Marketing & Programs to coordinate marketing, communications, and customer program initiatives for a regulated natural gas/energy organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management, marketing coordination, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project timelines, workplans, deliverables, approvals, dependencies, and milestones.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and customer education initiatives across email, direct mail, digital, web, bill inserts, community outreach, and customer communications.
- Support energy efficiency programs focused on customer awareness, acquisition, participation, and retention.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Customer Operations, Analytics, Program Teams, Vendors, and External Agencies.
- Ensure customer-facing materials meet regulatory, privacy, compliance, and brand requirements.
- Manage external agencies, printers, fulfillment vendors, implementation contractors, and community partners.
- Track campaign performance, participation metrics, customer response trends, project milestones, and risks.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Track budgets, estimates, purchase orders, invoices, and schedules.
- Identify risks and help resolve issues to keep projects on schedule and within scope.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Environmental Studies, Energy Management, Public Relations, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in Project Management, Marketing Coordination, Program Management, Communications, or related areas.
- Strong experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to translate complex program information into clear, customer-friendly messaging.
- Experience coordinating creative reviews, approvals, vendors, timelines, and campaign execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project/work management tools.
- Strong Excel skills and basic performance reporting experience.
- Experience with Wrike is preferred.
- Excellent organization, documentation, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Experience
- Utility, energy efficiency, sustainability, public sector, or regulated industry experience.
- Natural gas energy efficiency, rebate programs, demand-side management, conservation, or customer education programs.
- Regulatory filings, program reporting, customer communication reviews, or compliance-driven marketing.
- Customer segmentation and campaign performance metrics.
- Digital marketing, direct mail, web analytics, and community outreach.
- Experience working with external agencies, implementation contractors, printers, fulfillment vendors, and community organizations.
- PMP certification, Agile experience, or formal project management training.
- Web development and/or web analytics experience.
