Description
We are looking for a PC Technician to support day-to-day hardware and device operations for a healthcare environment in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining reliable workstation performance, resolving technical issues efficiently, and assisting end users with equipment-related needs. The role is well suited for someone who is hands-on with computer hardware, cabling, and device deployment across a busy operational setting.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, and related hardware used across the facility.
Provide hands-on support for Dell systems, Apple devices, and other endpoint equipment to keep users productive.
Perform cable runs, workstation connections, and basic hardware setup for new or relocated equipment.
Diagnose device failures and replace components such as monitors, keyboards, docking stations, and internal PC parts as needed.
Set up, image, and deploy computers while confirming proper connectivity and functionality before release to staff.
Respond to service requests in a timely manner and document completed work, equipment updates, and support activities.
Assist with inventory tracking, device staging, and hardware moves to support ongoing operational needs.
Coordinate with internal technical teams when issues require escalation or additional system-level support.
Requirements
Experience providing hands-on support for computer hardware and associated peripheral equipment.
Working knowledge of Dell Technologies devices and general desktop or laptop troubleshooting practices.
Ability to install and manage structured cabling and workstation connections safely and effectively.
Familiarity with supporting Apple devices in a detail-oriented environment.
Understanding of hardware deployment, replacement, and basic break/fix procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple support tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach when assisting end users.
