Detailed Job Description:

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer/Architect skilled with HORTONWORKS to join them on a consulting opportunity.

• This is an architect, high level - focused on identifying solutions.
• Should have a strong programming background but this is not a hands-on development role.
• This person needs to have strong communication and be able to articulate to dev team
• Candidate must have Hadoop (HDP 2.6 through at least 3.0) - they''''''''re currently in HDP 3.1
• Candidate must have big data experience
• Candidate must have strong documentation and presentation skills: use PPT, Vizio

Solutions Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design and identify technical solutions leveraging Hortonworks platform expertise.
• Collaborate with development teams to articulate solution requirements and frameworks.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and presentation materials for stakeholders.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of big data architecture and best practices.
• Support the implementation of Hadoop distributions and related solutions.

Solutions Engineer Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with Hortonworks HDP 2.6 through at least 3.0.
• Strong background in big data environments and architecture.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills using PowerPoint or Vizio.
• Exceptional communication abilities to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Relevant experience in solution design, with a focus on data systems.
