Genesis10 is currently seeking an Equities- Application Production Support for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves performing L1 and L2 Application Production Support for front office electronic execution applications, including Order Management and Execution Management systems. The position requires working in a dynamic, high-urgency environment, resolving incidents, and communicating across a broad range of business and technical functions. The role operates on a rotational shift schedule and requires 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities: - Handle critical production application issues and ensure correct problem-solving techniques are applied
- Communicate with business users to gather IT requirements and suggest optimal workflows
- Manage Problems, Changes, and Incidents using tools like ServiceNow and JIRA
- Create and maintain BAU run books, SOPs, and training materials
- Build and configure alerts in GENEOS, Open Search, and Grafana to monitor system metrics
- Automate routine checks and notifications using shell and Python scripting
- Perform root cause and impact analyses for post-release issues
- Perform change releases and application health checks over weekends
Requirements: - Overall 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 2+ years in front office equities
- Experience in an application support role in a dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge of Equities markets
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for detailed documentation and user interaction
- Comfortable with the FIX protocol and investigating logs with FIX messages
- Experience with UNIX, SQL, and scripting
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in the New York office, and be flexible for rotational shifts (morning starts at 7 AM, evening starts at 9:30 PM )
- Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
Desired skills: - Python, shell, ServiceNow, JIRA, GENEOS, Open Search, Grafana, XML
- Experience with trading platforms, OMS (Order Management System), EMS (Execution Management System), or SOR (Smart Order Router)
- Knowledge of Flextrade OMS is preferred
