Role Overview
An experienced trade compliance professional is sought for a program management role. The position involves managing and improving an export compliance program with a focus on technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong subject matter expertise in encryption regulations, dual-use export classification, and licensing requirements, along with program management skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct export classification reviews for intangible items such as software and technology.
- Manage the collection of information and preparation of global trade licenses and declarations, including "deemed export" licenses.
- Track U.S. and non-US license and authorization expirations and manage renewals.
- Manage compliance and reporting obligations associated with U.S. and non-US licenses and authorizations.
- Monitor regulatory changes in export controls, conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments, and evaluate impacts.
- Develop and manage metrics for management reporting on export compliance programs, with a focus on intangibles.
- Execute other projects in support of the global trade compliance program.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience:- 5+ years of experience in export compliance within a global corporate environment, including U.S. export classification under the Export Administration Regulations with a focus on software, technology, and encryption regulations.
- 5+ years of experience working with engineering teams to determine export controls.
- 5+ years of experience using SNAP-R.
- 3+ years of experience managing an export classification program.
Technical Skills: Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with export controls for hardware.
- Experience with non-US export regulations.
- Experience with sanctions compliance.
