Genesis10 is currently seeking a Middleware Administrator for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ, Jacksonville, FL or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves providing end-to-end middleware administration for key Global Information Security (GIS) platforms, including WebSphere, JBoss, and Tomcat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering enterprise projects, ensuring production stability, performing platform patching, and designing high-availability infrastructure within a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities: - Provide middleware administration duties for Global Information Security (GIS) platforms, including WebSphere, jBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS (extreme scale cache)
- Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives
- Ensure production stability from an ongoing support standpoint
- Ensure middleware platforms are patched with the most current version of software
- Provide Middleware Server administration which includes server installation, configuration, performance tuning and production support
- Work with customers (application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and providing Middleware and Java support
- Create, maintain and support the application deployment templates
- Serve as a J2EE architect and make recommendations on J2EE best practices in application development
- Design Middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover capability
- Ensure all solutions meet all Policy, Baseline, and Standards along with business requirements
- Provide technical consultation to other team members and their supported areas
- Execute production changes for integrated and regulatory releases with precision
Requirements: - Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5-7 years of experience as an Information Technology professional
- Experience with Middleware products: Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat
- Experience with BPM products: Appian
- Operating System: Linux
- Java/Container Framework Knowledge
- Knowledge of shell, jython, and perl scripting
- Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links)
- Experience with Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket, Jira
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
Desired skills: - Prior experience in a global financial institution is a plus
- Experience with WebSphere Extreme Scale, BPM Middleware Administration
- Experience with other products: BMC Truesight Server Automation, Harman mDeliver, Terraform
Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
