Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for leading the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will define robust architecture patterns, develop and optimize enterprise-grade applications primarily in Java, and ensure seamless integration across messaging, data, and observability platforms. This individual will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions while leveraging modern monitoring tools like Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry to drive system reliability.
Responsibilities: - Lead the design and delivery of resilient, scalable, and business-aligned technology solutions
- Define robust architecture patterns for enterprise-grade applications
- Develop and optimize applications primarily in Core Java
- Ensure seamless integration across messaging, data, and observability platforms
- Implement service frameworks and enterprise messaging solutions
- Leverage modern monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry to drive system reliability, performance tuning, and proactive issue resolution
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions
- Promote best practices in design, development, and operational excellence
Requirements: - Strong expertise in Core Java development
- Solid understanding of System Architecture and designing scalable systems
- Hands-on experience with Enterprise Messaging Bus (e.g., Solace, Kafka, AMPS)
- Hands-on experience with GitHub copilot and MS Copilot
- Proficiency in Dynatrace and OpenTelemetry for application monitoring
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, KDB, MongoDB)
Desired skills: - Experience with Python for scripting or application development
- Familiarity with the Fixed Income trading domain
- Knowledge of distributed data caching like GigaSpaces
Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
