A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a “Mainframe Developer - Production Support"

Position type: Full-Time Contract (W2)
Role: “Mainframe Developer - Production Support”
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Location : Philadelphia, PA (Onsite role)

Must have required skills – COBOL, DB2, JCL, batch execution, issue resolution, and Production Support

Primary Skill Required for the Role:
8+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, and JCL within large-scale mainframe production support environments.
Strong expertise in z/OS, batch processing, job scheduling, and end-to-end production support operations.
Proven experience in incident management, production troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution to ensure high system availability and stability.
Hands-on experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA7, Zeke, or similar platforms.
Ability to effectively manage and resolve critical production incidents during high-pressure batch processing windows while meeting strict SLAs.

Details:
Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs using JCL, ensuring SLA compliance.
Provide production support for mainframe applications, including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
Maintain and enhance COBOL programs to support business requirements and defect fixes.
Monitor DB2 jobs, resolve data issues, and support batch processing activities.
Manage job scheduling, restarts, and reruns using tools such as Control-M or CA7.
Support critical production incidents, including on-call assistance when required.

The ideal candidate will have: Ongoing production support and maintenance experience of existing mainframe applications.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50 - $55/- per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate''s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
