HCLTech is seeking an experienced Mainframe Business Development Lead to drive growth across our Mainframe Infrastructure and Services portfolio. This role combines deep Mainframe technical expertise with business development, pre-sales solutioning, executive engagement, and strategic partnership management.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, qualify, and develop Mainframe services opportunities while building a strong sales pipeline.
• Partner with sales teams to define go-to-market strategies and pursue ideal customer profiles.
• Lead technical discussions, solution workshops, and executive presentations with clients.
• Develop compelling value propositions, technical solution proposals, SOWs, SLAs, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Drive revenue growth through strong client relationships and opportunity conversion.
• Manage strategic alliances with IBM, BMC, Broadcom, and other Mainframe ecosystem partners.
• Collaborate with technical solution teams to design innovative Mainframe infrastructure and modernization solutions.
• Provide thought leadership and contribute to the growth of the Mainframe Pre-Sales practice.
Required Qualifications
• 18+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Infrastructure, System Programming, or Architecture.
• Strong expertise in z/OS, CICS, DB2, IMS, Mainframe Security, Storage, Middleware, and Job Scheduling technologies.
• Experience with Mainframe modernization, infrastructure design, migration, and transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IBM, BMC, Broadcom licensing, pricing, and OEM ecosystems.
• Proven experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, Technical Consulting, or Business Development.
• Experience developing technical proposals, SOWs, SLAs, and responding to RFPs/RFIs.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage technical teams and C-level executives.
