About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled
Test Engineer II - Automation (Performance Testing) to join a fast-paced engineering team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
k6, JMeter, performance testing, API testing, and cloud-native environments. This position requires strong expertise in designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests for enterprise-scale applications.
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts using k6 (Grafana k6) and JMeter
- Execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing initiatives
- Analyze application performance metrics and identify bottlenecks
- Perform API performance testing for REST, SOAP, and GraphQL services
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve application reliability and performance
- Generate performance reports and provide recommendations for optimization
- Work within cloud and containerized environments to validate system performance
Required Qualifications - 5+ years of software testing experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with k6/Grafana k6
- Strong experience with Apache JMeter
- Proven expertise in:
- Performance Testing
- Load Testing
- Stress Testing
- Scalability Testing
- API Testing
- Experience testing web-based applications
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, EKS, and Docker
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Ability to create, maintain, and optimize automated performance test frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
