About the Role

A large, established educational institution is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to support a major enterprise technology modernization initiative. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting integrations across critical enterprise platforms, including Salesforce, Workday, and Boomi.

The Senior Integration Engineer will be a hands-on technical contributor responsible for building reliable, scalable, and secure integrations that enable seamless data exchange across business applications. This individual will work closely with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and implementation partners to establish integration standards and support complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integrations between Salesforce, Workday, and other enterprise applications.
  • Build scalable and secure integrations using Boomi (Dell Boomi / AtomSphere) and Workday integration technologies.
  • Develop and maintain near real-time integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Design and implement integration workflows, data mappings, transformations, and orchestration processes.
  • Utilize Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and Workday integration frameworks to develop and maintain integrations.
  • Configure and maintain Boomi processes, connectors, APIs, and integration components.
  • Work with Salesforce APIs and Salesforce development teams to support enterprise integrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration, API, data synchronization, and middleware issues across multiple platforms.
  • Monitor integration performance, reliability, data quality, and operational health.
  • Document integration architecture, technical specifications, data mappings, processes, and support procedures.
  • Contribute to integration architecture decisions, technical standards, scalability strategies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners throughout large-scale transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application integration or a related engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce, Workday, and Boomi in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience with Boomi / Dell Boomi / AtomSphere, including processes, connectors, and API management.
  • Experience with Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), and Workday integration frameworks.
  • Experience designing and developing REST and SOAP API integrations.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration architecture, middleware platforms, and data orchestration patterns.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex integrations and resolving cross-platform data synchronization issues.
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable integration solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical architecture and influence integration design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education or education technology environments.
  • Experience supporting Student Information Systems (SIS), enrollment management, advising, or learner-facing applications.
  • Experience with Salesforce Education Cloud.
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or enterprise modernization programs.
  • Experience working with external implementation partners or systems integrators.
