Summary

IBM LinuxONE Architect (Engineering & Administration)

Position Summary

The client is seeking a senior IBM LinuxONE Architect who can design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux infrastructure running on IBM LinuxONE. The architect will lead infrastructure modernization, virtualization, security, cloud migration, and automation initiatives while ensuring maximum availability and performance for mission-critical workloads.

Primary Responsibilities

Design enterprise infrastructure on IBM LinuxONE.
Architect highly available Linux environments.
Build secure and scalable infrastructure for critical applications.
Design LPARs and virtualization using IBM technologies.
Consolidate Linux workloads onto LinuxONE.
Lead migration from distributed Linux servers to LinuxONE.
Optimize system performance and capacity planning.
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
Integrate LinuxONE with hybrid cloud environments.
Implement security best practices including encryption and quantum-safe security.
Work with engineering, application, database, networking, and security teams.
Create infrastructure standards and architecture documentation.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and administration.
