Software Engineer (Upgrading IBM MQ / Azure 7+ years needed with airline domain experience)

Location: Seattle, Washington / Remote will work.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly with IBM technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using IBM technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance software development processes.
• Document software designs, processes, and technical specifications for future reference.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in IBM technologies (e.g., IBM Cloud, IBM Watson, IBM Db2).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Solid understanding of database management and SQL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
