This role requires a candidate who can effectively engage with Application Architects and development teams to understand application architecture and integration patterns. The individual should be able to assess how applications can consume and interact with the enterprise authorization solution, identify appropriate integration approaches, and provide guidance on implementation. Key expectations include: Strong ability to collaborate with Application Architects and technical stakeholders to understand application design, architecture, and security requirements. Experience in evaluating application integration patterns and determining how authorization services should be invoked from different application architectures. Hands-on experience testing and validating authorization policies using REST APIs and tools such as Postman. Ability to troubleshoot policy evaluation and access-control scenarios by executing and analyzing API requests and responses. Working knowledge of modern data and analytics platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Familiarity with data platform architectures, as a significant portion of client applications and data solutions are built on these technologies. Understanding of authentication, authorization, API integration, and security concepts in cloud-based enterprise environments. Ability to work across application, security, and data engineering teams to ensure successful adoption and integration of the authorization framework. The ideal candidate will combine strong architectural understanding, hands-on API testing skills, and practical experience with leading cloud data platforms to support secure application integration and authorization implementation. Key Responsibilities Cloud & Platform Engineering Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform) sufficient to engage with platform, infrastructure, and application teams, understand architectural requirements, and drive successful solution delivery. Understanding of core cloud-native components and services, including: o Docker o Kubernetes o Database services o Streaming services o Batch processing frameworks Ability to participate in cloud deployment discussions, operational troubleshooting, and cross-functional solution design efforts. Familiarity with enterprise cloud ecosystems and common deployment, monitoring, and support practices. Data Engineering Analyze existing ETL/ELT workflows and develop enhancements or new solutions as required. Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for: o Batch processing o Real-time/streaming processing Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and data transformations. Application Development & Integration Develop solutions using Python. Design and implement API integrations using: o REST APIs o JSON payloads o XML payloads Work with authentication and authorization mechanisms including: o OAuth o API Keys o Bearer Tokens Utilize Postman for API testing, validation, and troubleshooting. DevOps & CI/CD Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, or similar source control and deployment tools. Contribute to automation, deployment, monitoring, and release management processes. Apply DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Security & Access Management Working knowledge of data security principles and best practices, with the ability to incorporate security considerations into data integration, application, and platform solutions. Understanding of key data protection concepts, including: o Encryption o Data masking o Data obfuscation o Secure data handling practices Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance requirements related to protecting sensitive and regulated data.
