Summary

Position: SCMAC Application Development Consultant

Location: Salem, OR (Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Process: Video Only

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze existing Excel formulas, calculations, inputs, and outputs.
Evaluate and recommend the best application/low-code platform.
Convert the Excel SCMAC into the selected application.
Preserve existing calculation logic and accuracy.
Automate calculations and reduce manual data entry.
Implement data validation, error handling, and formula protection.
Support desktop, mobile, and tablet access where applicable.
Conduct beta testing and resolve issues.
Prepare technical documentation and deliver the final application.

Required Skills:

Strong Microsoft Excel and complex formula/calculation experience.
Application development or modernization experience.
Experience converting Excel tools into applications.
Data validation, automation, testing, and troubleshooting.
Requirements gathering and working with SMEs.
Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred:

Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse or similar low-code platforms.
Government/public-facing application experience.
Environmental, regulatory, scientific, engineering, or natural-resource domain experience.
