Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline development, Azure services, and DevOps automation supporting data engineering workloads. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting pipeline failures, managing deployments, resolving production issues, and performing root-cause analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for Azure-based data engineering solutions.
Automate build, testing, deployment, configuration, and release processes across multiple environments.
Support deployments involving Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Storage.
Collaborate with Data Engineers to automate deployments of data pipelines, notebooks, scripts, and infrastructure changes.
Manage Git branching, merging, pull requests, artifacts, and release workflows.
Develop reusable pipeline-as-code and automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
Troubleshoot build and deployment failures, permissions, credentials, dependencies, and configuration issues.
Manage Azure identity, secrets, service connections, and secure pipeline access.
Support production releases, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipeline development and troubleshooting.
Microsoft Azure and DevOps automation experience.
CI/CD design, administration, deployment, and release management.
Git and enterprise source-control practices.
PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python scripting.
Experience deploying Azure Data Factory and/or Azure Databricks workloads.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root-cause-analysis skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills:
Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Lake/Storage.
Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Docker, Kubernetes, YAML, and JSON.
SQL and ETL/ELT concepts.
CI/CD monitoring, logging, Jira, or Azure Boards.
Important: Candidates must have strong practical troubleshooting experience with Jenkins pipelines and Azure deployments.
