Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EDB PostgreSQL / Kubernetes Engineer with strong hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL/EDB database environments and Kubernetes platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of EDB/PostgreSQL database administration, Kubernetes, high availability, replication, performance tuning, and containerized database environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, administer, configure, and support EDB/PostgreSQL database environments.
- Deploy and manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes/containerized environments.
- Configure and maintain PostgreSQL high-availability and replication solutions.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
- Manage database upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Support PostgreSQL clusters running on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
- Work with Kubernetes operators and related technologies for database deployment and management.
- Automate database administration and infrastructure tasks using scripting and DevOps tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and DevOps teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain database security, availability, scalability, and operational reliability.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with EDB / EnterpriseDB and PostgreSQL.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes / K8s.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database administration and engineering.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL HA, replication, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
- Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
- Experience supporting production database platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
