Detailed Job Description:
Position Title: Sr. Full Stack Engineer Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6 Months Contracts + Extension
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines and ETL processes that power analytics and reporting across Client programs. Candidate will also develop and optimize complex SQL queries to support large-scale educational data analysis and take responsibility for creating design specifications, unit testing, and preparing technical documentation. Candidate will ensure relationships with product, research, and program teams are professional and meet expectations. The Client a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to providing excellence and equity in education manages a complex and comprehensive suite of data systems, data feeds and reports to support students and educators across multiple assessments, programs and services. Working within the Information Technology division and across the operations and key business units, the Senior Full Stack Engineer will analyze procedures, and design and implement solutions to attain high data quality and process automation. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will design, develop and implement solutions, based on a set of standards and processes which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk, and promote efficiencies in support of the organization s goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have designed, developed and implemented serverless software solutions in support of data quality and automation. The candidate will also possess technical skills and experience in the data management domain that will help their ability to design and develop elegant and efficient data processes and systems.
Team:
This team is working on internal Client user-facing products/programs mainly used by Client data scientists and research for modeling and analysis. The team operates within a continues delivery approach focusing on continuous learning, stakeholder partnership and continuous improvement. The hiring manager is looking for highly motivated engineers with solid communication skills that can operate with minimal guidance. Someone that can hit the ground running and is comfortable engaging with their teams remotely.
Profile:
Must have strong Python, TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6) along with React development expertise. This role is for a full-stack engineer with solid backend experience using Node.js and AWS serverless technologies. Candidates should be comfortable building both frontend applications and scalable backend services.
