Job Title: Senior React Native Developer
Location: Remote (USA)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior React Native Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android. The ideal candidate has strong experience with React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, mobile architecture, REST APIs, and modern DevOps practices. Experience with native iOS/Android development and cloud services is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable React Native applications for iOS and Android.
Build reusable UI components and maintain clean, modular, and maintainable code.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications.
Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and third-party SDKs.
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and reliability.
Implement secure authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, SSO, and biometric authentication.
Manage application state using Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, MobX, or Zustand.
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
Configure CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
Publish and maintain applications on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
Work closely with backend teams to design scalable API integrations.
Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of hands-on React Native development experience.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
Experience with React Hooks, Functional Components, and React Navigation.
Strong knowledge of Redux, Redux Toolkit, Context API, or MobX.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Experience with Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics).
Knowledge of push notifications and deep linking.
Experience with mobile application security best practices.
Experience using Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
Experience with Expo and Expo EAS Build.
Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with Fastlane and CodePush.
Experience with React Query, TanStack Query, or Apollo Client.
Familiarity with microservices architecture.
Experience implementing offline-first mobile applications.
Experience with payment gateway integrations.
Experience with accessibility (WCAG) standards.
Experience in Healthcare, Banking, Finance, Retail, or Insurance domains.
