Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Developer – Platform Engineer with strong Java/Spring Boot experience to support proactive vulnerability remediation, dependency upgrades, and security maintenance across platform microservices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java 17/21, Maven, Spring Boot, CI/CD pipelines, and security vulnerability management. Experience with Python, AWS, Docker, and AI-assisted development tools is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Java 17/21, Spring, and Spring Boot
Maven dependency management, BOMs, parent POMs, and transitive dependencies
Git, GitHub, and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
Vulnerability scanning and remediation using Snyk, Mythos, or similar SCA tools
Regression testing, build validation, and deployment
Python 3.x and dependency management using pip, requirements.txt, or Poetry

Preferred Skills:

AWS (ECS, Lambda, IAM), Docker, and Terraform
AI-assisted coding tools such as AWS Kiro or similar LLM-based tools
CVSS scoring, vulnerability lifecycle management, and security compliance
React, Node.js, NPM, or NestJS
Apache Camel, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch
Experience maintaining Java microservices and upgrading dependencies across multiple services
Financial services or insurance industry experience

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and remediate vulnerable libraries across Java/Spring Boot services.
Upgrade Maven dependencies and maintain compatibility across shared libraries.
Analyze security findings, assess risk, and prioritize fixes based on severity.
Validate upgrades through automated builds, testing, and deployment pipelines.
Support Python dependency remediation when required.
Collaborate with security and release teams to meet vulnerability remediation SLAs.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve remediation efficiency and automate repetitive tasks.
