Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Platform Developer to support the continued development, configuration, and enhancement of an enterprise ServiceNow environment. This role will focus on designing and implementing scalable ServiceNow solutions across Customer Service Management (CSM), portals, workflows, forms, approvals, dashboards, reporting, and related platform capabilities.
Location: Remote within the United States; must be located in U.S. Eastern or U.S. Central time zones.
Employment Type: W-2 only / no C2C or 1099.
Compensation: $136,000–$167,000 annually, based on relevant experience.
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency () only.
Duration: Six-month contract position with possible extension.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on ServiceNow professional who can analyze business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and deliver secure, maintainable platform enhancements. This individual will work across ServiceNow capabilities including CSM, ITSM, Service Catalog, Employee Center/Portal, CMDB, ITOM, integrations, workflows, and application development.

Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, develop, test, and implement ServiceNow solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Support continued enhancement of ServiceNow capabilities, including Customer Service Management (CSM), portals, forms, workflows, approvals, dashboards, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain ServiceNow applications, automation, workflows, and platform configurations using ServiceNow best practices.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow components, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, ACLs, Flow Designer, UI Scripts, notifications, approvals, and scoped applications.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, maintainable ServiceNow solutions.
- Design and implement secure platform solutions using role-based access controls (RBAC), ACL strategies, data separation approaches, and least-privilege security models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues through debugging, error analysis, performance investigation, and root-cause analysis.
- Support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using APIs and Integration Hub.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including requirements specifications, technical designs, implementation documentation, testing results, and operational procedures.
- Support ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, testing activities, and ongoing platform improvements.
- Collaborate with technical teams, leadership, and stakeholders in a remote environment.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Evaluate platform options and recommend solutions based on scalability, maintainability, licensing considerations, and long-term business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least four (4) years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator, developer, or implementation specialist.
- Active/current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification or higher.
- Experience designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting, and implementing ServiceNow solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM), including case management, portals, forms, workflows, approvals, dashboards, and reporting.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow development and configuration, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, ACLs, Flow Designer, APIs, and Scoped Applications.
- Experience with ServiceNow application architecture, including application boundaries, cross-scope privileges, and secure application design.
- Experience implementing and maintaining role-based access controls, data governance practices, and least-privilege security models.
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze technical options, and deliver practical solutions.
- Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) certification.
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and Integration Hub.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, XML, and JSON.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow Utah release or newer.
- Experience with CMDB governance, Service Mapping, Discovery, and Configuration Management best practices.
- Experience with Virtual Agent, Conversational Experiences, or chatbot development.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow upgrades, enhancements, and comprehensive testing efforts.
- Experience documenting technical procedures, implementation decisions, operational runbooks, and platform standards.
