Description
We are looking for a Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud Administrator to help manage and strengthen a newly launched Salesforce environment for a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can oversee daily platform administration, support end users, and improve system performance after go-live. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders to maintain secure access, address operational issues, and guide ongoing enhancements that support fundraising and service-related activities.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day administration of the Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud platform, ensuring reliable performance and consistent system availability.
Configure and maintain user access by managing roles, permission sets, sharing settings, and other security controls aligned with organizational policies.
Provide functional support for core nonprofit operations, including fundraising activities, donor records, gift processing, recurring contributions, grant-related tracking, and case management workflows.
Investigate system issues, identify root causes, and resolve configuration or usability problems in a timely manner.
Build, update, and refine reports, dashboards, automation, and platform settings to support accurate data visibility and efficient business processes.
Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements, translate operational needs into Salesforce solutions, and recommend practical improvements.
Assist users as they adapt to updated workflows and explain security-related access limitations in a clear, user-friendly manner.
Help reinforce appropriate data access practices while supporting adoption of the platform's security model across the organization.
Identify post-launch optimization opportunities and implement administrative enhancements that improve user experience and system effectiveness.
Contribute to stabilization efforts following a recent Salesforce migration by supporting platform ownership and ongoing operational continuity.
Requirements
Hands-on experience administering Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of the Nonprofit Cloud data structure, features, and administrative capabilities.
Experience supporting nonprofit business functions such as fundraising, donor engagement, gift entry, recurring donations, grants, or case management.
Solid understanding of Salesforce security architecture, including permission management, role-based access, and record-sharing controls.
Proven ability to troubleshoot platform issues and resolve functional or configuration-related challenges independently.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and access decisions to nontechnical users.
Ability to work closely with stakeholders, prioritize support needs, and take ownership of platform administration.
Salesforce Administrator certification or related Salesforce credentials are a plus.
