Title: 5G Network Integration & Validation Engineer | Contract | Plano Texas
We are hiring a 5G Network Integration & Validation Engineer for a contract opportunity in Plano, TX, supporting a global leader in telecommunications and 5G network technology. This role focuses on the integration, validation, and end-to-end testing of 4G/5G and Private 5G solutions, including RAN, Core, cloud, enterprise networks, devices, and applications. The engineer will support new deployments, upgrades, migrations, and expansions while ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and customer acceptance requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to work beyond individual network nodes and gain exposure to complete Private 5G/EP5G and Industry 4.0 solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong 4G/5G knowledge with hands-on integration, troubleshooting, testing, and automation skills. You will work across RAN, Core, enterprise IT/OT, devices, and applications while supporting real-world use cases in environments such as factories, logistics, airports, utilities, and other mission-critical networks.

Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of 4G LTE and 5G network architecture, including RAN and Core
Hands-on experience with network integration, validation, system testing, or verification
Experience with Private 5G / enterprise 5G architecture and integration concepts
Understanding of APN/DNN, network segmentation, QoS, device onboarding, and mobility
Experience executing integration, regression, system, and performance testing
Strong troubleshooting skills across RAN, Core, devices, applications, and network infrastructure
Hands-on Python and/or Shell scripting experience for test automation
Experience developing or executing automated test suites and working with CI pipelines
Experience analyzing latency, throughput, reliability, coverage, and network performance
Ability to analyze logs, alarms, test results, and network behavior to identify root causes
Understanding of enterprise LAN, data center, security, and IT/OT integration
Experience creating test cases, test evidence, technical documentation, and acceptance reports
Strong customer-facing and cross-functional communication skills
Candidate must not have been employed by Ericsson within the past 2 years
Desired Skills & Experience
Ericsson EP5G / Private 5G / EFN experience
Experience with Ericsson network products, features, or solutions
Industrial/IoT experience within manufacturing, logistics, mining, airports, utilities, or large enterprise environments
Experience testing AGVs/AMRs, scanners, routers, tablets, industrial sensors, or other connected devices
Knowledge of authentication, encryption, segmentation, and zero-trust security principles
Experience with high availability, redundancy, failover, and recovery testing
Experience preparing or executing MOPs and providing low-level design inputs
Cloud and cloud-native networking experience
