Senior Oracle APEX / PL/SQL Developer
Hybrid: Richmond VA

Roles and responsibilities:

Works as part of the client team and plan, coordinate, develop, implement data modernization of vital statistics and vital records related projects.

The client is currently is a PLSQL Web toolkit application running on Mod PLSQL gateway.
This technology is outdated.
All the modules in VVESTS capture and deal with highly sensitive data (PII and PHI), so web application security is a high priority aspect for the VVESTS.
It is very important to use the latest web technologies and latest JavaScript/jQuery frameworks, Templates and CSS styles to mitigate the security vulnerabilitiesand enforce strict compliance with HIPPAregulations.

This is one of the critical system developed by client, which currently hosts applications like Birth Registry, Death Registry (EDRS) and Screening Registry. They have multiple interfaces with other agencies within state.

We will be migrating all PLSQL Web toolkit modules or pages to Oracle APEX. Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a low-code development platform that enables you to build scalable, secure enterprise apps, with world-class features, that can be deployed anywhere.

Primary focus will be the data modernization of vital statistics and vital records related projects.

Skills requried:

Oracle 11g/18c/19c database
Strong sql and pl/sql experience
Javascript OR Jquery
Oracle APEX
Oracle PL/SQL web toolkit
RESTful and SOAP Webservices
