Senior Applications Developer (ColdFusion / Oracle)

Introduction:

The Senior Applications Developer will play a key role in developing and supporting enterprise applications using Adobe ColdFusion and Oracle backend. They will be responsible for designing applications with high testability, maintainability, reliability, and performance, as well as implementing automated testing and code quality controls throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support enterprise applications using Adobe ColdFusion and CFML.
• Design applications for high testability, maintainability, reliability, and performance.
• Implement automated testing, including unit, integration, functional, regression, system, and end to end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium or similar tools.
• Utilize SonarQube or similar code quality tools to identify defects, vulnerabilities, code smells, duplication, and maintainability issues.
• Establish and maintain automated testing and code quality controls throughout development.
• Conduct source control, peer code reviews, configuration management, defect resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot and isolate defects across database, application, integration, and user interface layers.
• Support release readiness, regression testing, deployment validation, and production stabilization.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting application development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and sustainment.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Advanced experience developing enterprise applications using Adobe ColdFusion and CFML.
• Advanced Oracle backend development experience, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, views, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong capability to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrated ColdFusion and Oracle applications.
• Strong software testing capability, including automated testing using Selenium or similar tools.
• Proficiency with SonarQube or comparable code quality tools.
• Experience with source control, configuration management, and defect resolution.
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate defects across multiple layers of an application.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with testing automation frameworks.
• Federal government experience.
