Activities will include designing reliable, functional, and cost-effective vehicle control software; develop and test programming for vehicles and systems; support various systems through troubleshooting or reprogramming the system. This role will work on a variety of key projects and initiatives ranging from simple tasks to more complex analytical projects.
YOUR IMPACT- Write quality, maintainable C++ and/or python software for robotic systems.
- Develop and test software that controls robot motion and autonomous behavior.
- Work with vision sensors, robot arms, and other robotic hardware.
- Debug software and hardware interactions on physical systems.
- Prepare and maintain software documentation.
- Participate in peer reviews, design discussions, testing, and other engineering activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Undergraduate degree student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of various degrees of information.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with C++, Python or similar programming language through coursework, clubs or personal projects.
- Familiarity with software engineering concepts and data structures.
- Experience with one robotics specialty (controls, motion planning, perception, autonomy)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
- Detail oriented and quality focused.
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload.
- Flexible and adaptable to working under tight deadlines and/or changing needs

- This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
- In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
- Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
- Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:$18.00 - $37.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
