Salesforce Product Owner
Position Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time
Industry: Software / AppExchange / SaaS
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, highly autonomous Salesforce Product Owner / LMO Owner to take full ownership of our internal Salesforce instance and License Management Org (LMO).
In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and business operations. You will act as the key authority across departments working closely with Sales, Support, Operations, and Leadership to keep our Salesforce platform stable, scalable, and fully aligned with business objectives.
Note: This is an active, operational role managing declarative automation, org governance, and data migrations not a high-level strategic/agile-only product owner position.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Operations & LMO Ownership: Manage the complete lifecycle of our Salesforce License Management Org (LMO), including security access, data hygiene, process automation, and third-party app management.
Sales Cloud Org Migration: Lead and execute the data model migration from custom structures (e.g., customized Lead Objects) to Sales Cloud best practices.
Declarative Automation & Integrations: Design, configure, and maintain complex Salesforce Flows, process automations, and third-party integrations (AppExchange apps, Zoom, Apollo, Cirrus, etc.).
Backlog & Request Intake: Triage user and business requests within a 24 48 hour SLA. Sequence, prioritize, and manage the product backlog based on effort, urgency, and business impact.
Data Governance & Security: Maintain strict SOC2 compliance standards across user access, permissions, and security policies. Establish robust data backup and deduplication practices.
Stakeholder Alignment & Team Direction: Direct and mentor Salesforce Support Admins. Drive alignment across Sales, Support, Billing, and Product teams to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Salesforce environments as a Senior Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Product Owner, or Lead Salesforce Business Analyst.
LMO Expertise: Direct experience managing or operating within a Salesforce License Management Org (LMO) environment.
Sales Cloud & Migrations: Proven track record leading a data model re-architecture or org migration to standard Sales Cloud structures.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flows, declarative automations, security/permission set management, and data management tools.
Compliance & Security: Knowledge of SOC2 security protocols and access controls within Salesforce.
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the confidence to challenge requirements, manage cross-functional conflicts, and present updates to executive stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
Experience in an AppExchange or ISV software company.
Hands-on experience with third-party tools like Apsona, Cirrus, Zoom, and Apollo.
