Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide responsive technical support for employees and internal teams in Slidell, Louisiana. This Long-term Contract position focuses on resolving day-to-day hardware, software, and access issues while delivering dependable Level 1 and Level 2 assistance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working through service desk requests, troubleshooting Windows-based environments, and helping users stay productive through clear communication and timely follow-up.
Responsibilities:
Deliver first- and second-level technical support to employees and internal departments by addressing incoming issues through the service desk.
Investigate and resolve problems involving Windows desktops, user accounts, and common workplace technology with a practical, service-oriented approach.
Manage ticket queues by documenting incidents, prioritizing requests, and ensuring issues are addressed within expected response timelines.
Support account-related requests in Active Directory, including user access updates and basic administrative tasks.
Diagnose workstation and operating system issues in Microsoft Windows 10 environments and escalate more complex matters when needed.
Communicate clearly with users throughout the support process, providing status updates and guidance in a thorough and attentive manner.
Assist with routine desktop setup, software support, and technical troubleshooting to maintain smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Hands-on experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 help desk or desktop support.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic account and access administration.
Proficiency supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 desktop environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills for common hardware, software, and user access issues.
Experience handling and documenting service desk tickets in a structured support environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple requests and maintain accurate support records.
Effective communication skills with the ability to assist internal users in a detail-oriented manner.
