Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to support client onboarding, system adoption, and user education for software solutions in Latham, New York. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who can combine technical understanding with strong communication skills to guide users, resolve issues, and improve how clients use technology. The role works closely with customers and internal teams to translate business needs into practical setup, training, and support outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Guide clients through onboarding activities, implementation tasks, and readiness reviews to promote a smooth rollout of software and related interfaces.
Lead user education through live training sessions, workshops, and virtual presentations tailored to different audiences and business needs.
Assess operational workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend practical adjustments that increase system effectiveness.
Capture and validate business and technical needs for reports, forms, configurations, interfaces, and process updates.
Act as a key point of coordination between customers and technical teams by turning complex concepts into clear, user-friendly guidance.
Create and maintain documentation such as user instructions, quick-reference materials, training content, and internal support resources.
Monitor project activity, open issues, milestones, and administrative follow-up to help keep deliverables on schedule.
Partner with testing and quality teams to support validation efforts, application updates, and issue resolution.
Communicate risks, blockers, timeline concerns, and unexpected project developments to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in software implementation, desktop support, help desk operations, training, consulting, or a related client-facing support role.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in information technology, business systems, or a similar field.
Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and deliver effective training to end users and client teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics in accessible language.
Experience gathering requirements, analyzing workflows, and supporting process improvements in a technology environment.
Working knowledge of SaaS platforms, Microsoft SQL, IIS, and Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
Proven troubleshooting, analytical, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to travel as needed and maintain a valid driver's license.
