Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Java Lead Engineer / Architect to design and build next-generation distributed platforms focused on edge computing, backend services, and AI/ML enablement. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will define architecture, develop production-grade solutions, and collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable distributed systems from concept to production.
Build backend services and APIs using Java Spring Boot.
Architect event-driven and microservices-based applications.
Design edge computing and CDN-based solutions for low-latency signal processing.
Develop data ingestion, validation, normalization, and processing pipelines.
Build platform capabilities supporting ML inference, feature engineering, and model integration.
Define integration patterns for third-party services, identity providers, and secure APIs.
Design cloud-native architectures on AWS with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability.
Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and governance best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
Mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions and technical best practices.

Required Skills

10+ years of experience building enterprise distributed systems.
Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services.
Experience building scalable backend platforms supporting AI/ML workloads.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and LLM-based development workflows.
Experience designing greenfield applications from concept through production.
Strong architecture, system design, and technical leadership skills.
Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments with evolving requirements.

Preferred Skills

Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript for edge runtimes.
Hands-on experience with Edge Computing, CDN platforms, Lambda@Edge, or Edge Workers.
Python experience for scripting or data engineering.
Experience with Databricks or similar AI/data platforms.
Experience building ML inference pipelines, feature stores, or model-serving platforms.
