Then keep reading - you've come to the right place.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on individual to help us develop our core technology by contributing to our Equipment Maintenance Team. In this role, individuals will work directly with our Operations team, to design, troubleshoot, and repair our production equipment. The successful applicant will be comfortable with hands-on work as well as detailed mechanical design.
What you'll do:- Write, and debug PLC and HMI programming with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable
- Collaborate with process, controls, maintenance, and operations teams to support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Lead equipment specification, design reviews, and technical evaluations to ensure solutions meet operational and manufacturing requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues by applying engineering principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to challenging manufacturing problems while supporting scale-up and production goals.
- Champion safety by ensuring equipment designs, modifications, and processes meet safety standards and promote a strong safety culture.
What you'll bring:- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field preferred; equivalent industrial experience considered
- 3+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a production environment
- Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills including motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, and industrial controls
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation
- Experience working cross-functionally with maintenance and operations teams to resolve equipment issues
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability principles
- Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Where you'll work:This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV-an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing.
