We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer in Test. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining advanced testing solutions for web and mobile applications, utilizing cutting-edge automation frameworks and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies and test frameworks for APIs, web, and mobile applications with end-to-end validation.
- Implement and enhance test automation using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Rest Assured, JUnit, and TestNG.
- Support continuous integration and deployment processes, including managing build pipelines, code branching, and version control.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve software testability, ensure accessible web experiences, and influence software design for security and quality.
- Write and maintain automated and manual tests, including unit, component, integration, functional, performance, and interoperability tests.
- Use SQL queries for data validation, database seeding, and automation tasks.
- Participate in cloud infrastructure automation, including cloud deployment, orchestration, and environment management.
- Contribute to the enhancement of test coverage, release velocity, and overall system health.
- Support team efforts to adopt best testing practices and promote overall software quality.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a master's degree in computer science or a closely related field.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing robust QA strategies and test frameworks for API and web applications.
- Extensive experience in test automation, including frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, and related tools.
- Strong background in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency with source control tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Sourcetree.
- Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards and testing accessible web experiences.
- Knowledge of SQL for data validation and automation setup.
- Ability to participate actively in application development, automated testing, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams to improve software quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification and hands-on experience in cloud-based automation.
- Experience with advanced monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Datadog.
- Familiarity with chaos testing, performance testing, and security testing methodologies.
- Skills in front-end development technologies such as Node.js, Java, and JavaScript.
- Prior experience with enterprise structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Background in building scalable automation test platforms and pipelines.
- Good understanding of accessible web design principles and testing.
