Job Title: AI Architect – Agentic Platforms (Architect Level 2)
Location: Blue Ash, OH (Onsite/Hybrid – 3 days/week). Open to relocation (Day 1 onsite preferred)
Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire

Job Summary

Kroger’s AI Enablement team is seeking a Senior AI Architect – Agentic Platforms to design and architect next-generation enterprise agent ecosystems. This role blends 50% hands-on development and 50% architecture, focusing on scalable, secure, and governed AI agent platforms.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with deep experience in cloud architecture, software development, and AI/GenAI systems, capable of leading teams and partnering with stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in cloud and distributed systems architecture
• 7+ years designing enterprise AI/ML systems
• 1+ year hands-on experience with GenAI, agentic workflows, RAG, or multi-agent systems
• Strong expertise with agentic frameworks/tools:
  LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, MCP, OpenAI SDK, Agent SDK
• Hands-on software development and CI/CD experience
• Strong experience integrating APIs and enterprise systems
• Cloud expertise in Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, identity, networking, CI/CD
• Familiarity with MLOps/AIOps tools (MLflow, model registries, vector DBs, monitoring)
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and Responsible AI
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills
