Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

An Entry Level Mechanical Engineer job in Rockford, IL is currently available supporting our CR (Change Request) Writing Team. In this role, you will use your technical education and attention to detail to support engineering change documentation for aerospace products and systems. You will work closely with experienced CR writers and engineers to learn established change processes and documentation standards. Your primary focus will be writing and managing change requests, deviations, and related documentation. As you gain experience, potential future opportunities may include participating in engineering projects and assisting with design, testing, and qualification activities.

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer jog duties:
* Create and update Change Requests (CRs) and deviations with guidance from CR Writing Team
members, aerospace engineers, and configuration management analysts
* Ensure documentation meets customer-specific checklists, forms, and internal requirements
* Review engineering information and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness
* Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support timely approvals
* Work within a team environment to achieve project goals, collaborating with engineers and cross-
functional teams to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time and with technical excellence

Qualifications:
* A bachelor"s degree in engineering or a related technical field
* Zero to two years of experience
* Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Due to the nature of the job, U.S. Citizenship is required

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $62,400 to $70,720 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
