Role: SharePoint Migration Lead (With Proventeq Exp)

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Role Overview

The SharePoint Migration Lead will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing enterprise-level SharePoint migration projects using Proventeq Migration Accelerator. The role requires strong technical expertise in SharePoint (On-Prem & Online), Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and hands-on proficiency with Proventeq tools to ensure seamless migration from legacy platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end SharePoint migration projects using Proventeq Migration Accelerator.
Plan, manage, and execute migrations from legacy systems (e.g., SharePoint 2010/2013/2016, file shares, Lotus Notes) to SharePoint Online/SharePoint 2016.
Perform content analysis, metadata mapping, and transformation to align with business requirements.
Design migration strategies including risk assessment, remediation, and cutover planning.
Collaborate with global teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient migrations.
Validate post-migration data quality and support user enablement.
Manage multiple migration waves and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Proventeq Migration Accelerator (mandatory).
Extensive expertise in SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Prem (2013/2016), and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Proven ability to design and execute migration strategies in complex enterprise environments.
Experience in content assessment, remediation, and transformation rules.
Strong knowledge of metadata mapping, taxonomy, and governance models.
Ability to identify pre-migration risks and ensure smooth cutover.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in leading teams and managing large-scale migration programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8 12 years of IT experience with at least 4 6 years in SharePoint migration projects.
Prior experience in consulting or delivery roles with global clients.
Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, SQL, and automation for migration tasks.
