Overview
This role leads large-scale cloud migration programs, moving workloads from AWS to Azure or Google Cloud Platform. It requires strong technical depth, structured project delivery, and the ability to manage stakeholders across engineering, security, and business teams.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery of cloud migration projects from planning through cutover
Build detailed migration roadmaps covering discovery, assessment, design, and execution
Coordinate engineering teams working on network, security, data, application, and platform migrations
Review architecture, cloud designs, and migration plans to ensure they meet business and compliance needs
Run stand-ups, track progress, escalate risks, and maintain clear communication with leadership
Oversee cloud landing zone preparation, environment builds, and workload readiness
Manage dependencies between AWS, Azure/Google Cloud Platform, and on-prem systems
Ensure proper testing, validation, performance checks, and post-migration stabilization
Drive documentation, status reporting, RAID logs, and governance processes
Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure policies and standards are maintained
Guide teams on best practices for cloud operations, tagging, cost governance, and modernization
Required Skills
8+ years of technical project or program management experience
Proven experience delivering cloud migration programs involving AWS and Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Solid understanding of cloud architectures, VPC/VNet design, IAM, networking, and security controls
Experience with application migration strategies (rehost, refactor, replatform)
Ability to manage distributed engineering teams in a fast-moving environment
Strong risk management, dependency tracking, and executive communication
Hands-on familiarity with cloud tools: AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, Google Cloud Platform Migrate, Terraform, CI/CD
Strong analytical and planning skills
Preferred
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
Experience with modernization and containerization (EKS/AKS/GKE, Docker, Kubernetes)
Background in enterprise environments with complex regulatory or security requirements
