Job BriefWe are looking for an experienced
Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. This role involves maintaining data center systems, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring continuous network availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, data center operations, and GPU deployment, along with
4+ years of experience in a hyperscale environment.
Responsibilities- Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed:
- Move, inspect, install, and cable servers and switches according to standards.
- Ensure proper bundling and verify connectivity with network administrators.
- Install additional components (NIC, drives, memory) and assist with server prep.
- Audit servers and consumables.
- Troubleshoot server issues, replace defective parts, and update firmware.
- Configure IP addresses and credentials.
- Support network admins with hardware issues, cabling, optics replacement, and upgrades.
- Rack and stack servers or switches for remote configuration.
- Deploy and configure GPUs in servers.
- Perform break-fix tasks for servers and GPUs.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
- Act as liaison between team members and management.
- Prioritize workload and manage multiple projects under high-pressure conditions.
- Review build documentation and validate requirements.
- Direct data center build activities and ensure compliance with standards.
- Monitor deadlines and provide status updates.
- Ensure safety and operational compliance.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and servers.
- Familiarity with common office applications (email, spreadsheets, documents).
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends/holidays.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale environment.
SkillsData center operations, deployment, fiber optic cabling, rack and stack, troubleshooting, Cat6/Cat5, GPU configuration.
Preferred Qualifications- CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience).
- CCNA certification preferred.
- Windows OS experience.
- MCP/MSCE certification preferred.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with structured cabling, fiber testing, and storage devices.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing systems.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3).
- OSHA30 or higher certification.
Location: Onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI. Team will focus on GPU cluster deployments within MKE 03 and 04. Multiple roles available across all core shifts (A/B/Days/Nights) on a 3x4x12 schedule.
Experience Level: Intermediate.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.30 - $36.30/hr.
