replication, zero-downtime migration to Amazon RDS, and Patching mission critical databases. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle database administration , high-availability solutions, performance tuning, and real-time data replication using GoldenGate in both Classic and Microservices architectures in complex production environment .

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer Oracle databases(11g, 12c, 19c and later) in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• Design, configure, deploy, monitor, and maintain replication using Oracle dataguard and Goldengate solutions.
• Design, implement and manage GoldenGate bidirectional(active-active) replication for high availability and data consistency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve GoldenGate replication issues including lag, data consistency and performance bottlenecks.
• Lead oracle to Amazon RDS migration projects with zero downtime using GoldenGate or Aws DMS, ensuing no data loss.
• Perform performance turning of oracle databases and queries
• Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, and migrations
• Implement and support high availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Implement and maintain monitoring for replication lag, performance metrics, and fault tolerance(using OEM or custom scripts).
• Automate routine database task using scripting languages
• Work with developers and application teams to optimize SQL and PL/SQL code.
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture, configuration, and operational procedures.
• Participate in 24*7 on-call support rotations as needed.

Must have skills:

• 7-8 years of hands-on exercises in GoldenGate classic architecture and Microservices architecture
• In-depth kowldege of conflict detection and resolution
• Expertise in DDL replication, heartbeat table monitoring and loop detection in active-active replication
• Proficiency in tuning Extract, pump, and Replicat for high-volume workloads.
• Familiarity with could-native rds features : Multi-AZ failover, backups, monitoring and parameter groups.
• Proven delivery of zero-downtime migrations to AWS RDS using GoldenGate, Data Guard, or AWS DMS.

Other skills:

• Deep SQL and PL/SQL tuning skills.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN and Flashback
• Familiar with Devops workflows and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.

Nice to have :

• Experience with hybrid environments integrating oracle with kafka, PostgreSQL or NoSQL systems.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 19c or 23c, including JSON,In-Memory and AutoML features.
