Duration: 6 Months Contract

Overview
IRG Clients is seeking an experienced EHR Project Manager / Health IT Consultant to support a statewide initiative to procure and implement a new Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This role will lead the development of an RFP, define system requirements, and provide end-to-end project management and advisory support to ensure a safe, compliant, and scalable EHR solution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis to evaluate current systems, future clinical and business needs, and technology deficiencies.
• Document business, clinical, technical, and regulatory requirements and translate them into a Functional Requirements Document and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
• Develop and assemble the EHR Request for Proposal (RFP), including technical specifications, functional requirements, and State/Federal compliance language.
• Define and facilitate vendor evaluation criteria, including functionality, usability, interoperability, security, scalability, and cost.
• Create proposal submission templates (company profile, system capabilities, implementation approach, pricing, and references).
• Provide post-RFP support, including:
  • Managing vendor Q&A and clarifications
  • Supporting proposal evaluation and scoring
  • Developing vendor shortlists
  • Participating in vendor demos and presentations
  • Assisting with final selection and contract negotiations
• Establish a structured project management framework to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with the hospital's go-live schedule.
• Support leadership and regulatory stakeholders to ensure state and federal compliance, patient safety, and clinical quality standards.
• Help design a scalable IT and EHR ecosystem that integrates with existing systems and supports future growth and innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in EHR implementation, healthcare IT consulting, or health systems project management.
• Strong background in RFP development, vendor evaluation, and contract support.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, business analysis, gap analysis, and system selection.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and clinical workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi-stakeholder initiatives with executive-level communication.
• PMP, CPHIMS, or similar certification preferred.
