About the Role

Paladin Technologies is looking for two Level 2 Cable Technicians to support commercial construction projects across the Austin area. Candidates should have at least 2+ years of experience installing structured cabling infrastructure, including racks, cabinets, and Cat5/6 cabling.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, and test Cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
• Install cabling infrastructure: racks, cabinets, patch panels, etc.
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
• Review project documentation, including:
  • Floor plans and equipment locations
  • Reflected ceiling plans
  • Conduit call-outs
  • Wall elevations
  • Signal flow diagrams
  • Cable pull schedules
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively
• Work in environments requiring climbing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Top Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience installing cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)
• Strong experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a driving check
• Must pass a drug test
• Strong communication skills and positive attitude
• Required PPE on day one:
  • Hard hat with chin strap (no need for expensive models)
  • Safety glasses
  • Steel-toed boots
  • Safety vest

Work Environment

Technicians will work on active construction sites and may be exposed to:

• Outdoor weather
• Moderate noise levels
• Confined spaces
• Working at heights

Travel between job sites may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
